Wheat Flour Ladoo Recipe | how to make Atta Laddoo


Atta Ladoo Recipe  : Wheat flour is roasted in ghee and when cool, mixed with sugar. Form small round shapes to make ladoo.

Atta ladoo is a very simple indian sweet which can ne prepared at home easily. It is healthy and tasty. 

Atta ladoo, besan ladoo, gond ladoo, nariyal ladoo, rawa ladoo are few common ladoos prepared during festivals or special occasions. All these ladoo have simple and easy recipes. All these ladoos are prepared using ghee (clarified butter). 

I have added coarse cashew powder and cardamom powder in my atta ladoo recipe. Here is the complete recipe for atta ladoo.

Recipe Details : Atta Ladoo / Wheat Flour Ladoo (Makes : 18 - 20 pieces)

Ingredients for Atta Ladoo / Wheat Flour Ladoo


  • Wheat Flour : 2 cup
  • Cardamom Powder : 1 tsp
  • Ghee : 2/3 cup
  • Sugar : 2/3 cup to 1 cup (adjust accordingly)
  • Cashew : 15- 20 

  • How to make Atta Ladoo / Wheat Flour Ladoo


    In a  broad pan or kadhai, roast the wheat flour till it turns golden in color. Stir continuously. 

    Now add ghee in it and mix well, Keep stirring continuously after mixing ghee to avoid sticking wheat flour to the bottom of pan. Cook on low flames till it becomes golden brown in color. Turn the flames off. Let the roasted wheat flour cool down until it is safe to touch with hands. It should be little warm but not hot.

    Grind the sugar to make a fine powder. Also make a coarse powder of cashews. Mix sugar and cashew powder in roasted wheat flour.  

    Now make small lemon size round shape ladoo with hands.

     Atta Ladoo is ready. We can store it in an air tight container and consume within 2 - 3 weeks.
