Cabbage Sandwich with leftover is just a very quick breakfast. Whenever we are having leftover sabzi , we always try to use those. We try to use it as a stuffing in a paratha , sometimes mash and mix it in dough while kneading and sometime make a sandwich . Cabbage sandwich is a healthy and quick breakfast which can be prepared using leftover cabbage sabzi . 

Cabbage Sandwich with Leftover Sabzi Recipe  

Cabbage may not be your favorite but it is definitely a healthy vegetable. Cabbage sandwich can be made with a variety of mix of ingredients with cooked cabbage sabzi leftovers. For example , we can add some chopped salad veggies in order to make the sandwich. We can add only thin chopped onion and lemon juice to give cabbage sandwich a different taste. We can also mix some chutney like pudina chutney, garlic chutney in cabbage leftovers to make sandwich. 

In Indian cooking, we add certain spices while making dry or gravy recipes. SO the leftover is already loaded with spicy flavors. It also has tomato and onion in it. Now even adding lemon juice or some chutney can change the taste of the cabbage sandwich completely.

In this recipe , I have added thick yogurt to give it a creamy texture and taste. Here is the complete recipe for Cabbage Sandwich.

Recipe Details : Cabbage Sandwich (2 Servings)

Ingredients for Cabbage Sandwich

  • Bread Slices : 4
  • Cooked Cabbage : 1 cup
  • Thick Yogurt : 2 tbsp
  • Oil : 1 tsp
  • How to make Cabbage Sandwich

    it is a very quick recipe. Within 10 minutes, cabbage sandwich is ready. To do so, mix the cooked cabbage and yogurt in a bowl. If you are adding other raw veggies, please add now. adjust the amount of salt. If required add some salt, remember that the cabbage is already salted. Mix well.

    Now heat a tawa / griddle and sprinkle some oil on it. Place one bread slice on it. Put 1 tablespoon cabbage and yogurt mix on it. Cover it with other and cook both sides evenly till it is cooked. 

    Within few minutes, Cabbage Sandwich is ready. Serve it with ketchup, chutney or chai.
