Kabab is a dish from middle east, often non vegetarian. There are few options for vegetarian kababs as well. These soya kabab is completely vegetarian.

Soya kababs are nutritious and tasty. I have used soya chunks to make soya kababs. Soya kabab can be prepared using soya flour or soya granules. I have used boiled potatoes for binding soya chunks after mincing. We can add other vegetables like green peas, spinach, sweet corn, carrot etc along with boiled potatoes to make kababs

  • How to make Soya Kabab

Wash and soak the soya in water for 30 minutes. Later drain the water and squeeze the chunks a bit to drain excess water. We should avoid squeezing hard else the chunks will be dry. Crush the soya chunks in a grinder. Avoid making a paste of it.

Now mix peeled and crushed boiled potatoes in it. Add ginger garlic paste. Also add chopped spring onion along with spices turmeric powder, red chilli powder, mango powder, garam masala and salt.

Mix thoroughly. Now divide the mix into small round portions. Take corn flour / semolina in a plate. Place the soya chunks and boiled potato spicy mix round portions in it and coat it all over.

Heat oil in a broad pan. When oil is medium hot, place all the kababs in it. Cook on low flames. turn the kababs when bottom side is golden and slightly brown. Cook both the sides even.

    Kababs are ready now.

Once soya kababs are ready, serve it hot with ketchup or chutney of choice.
