Kuttu Aloo Paratha is a famous Indian bread during fasting days of navratri. Kuttu or buckwheat flour is kneaded with boiled potato to make kuttu Aloo ka paratha.

It is not easy to roll Kuttu dough with rolling pin (belan), alternate to roll Kuttu Aloo  paratha is by using plastic sheet. Spread a plastic sheet and apply little oil on it. Place the Kuttu dough ball on it and cover with another plastic sheet at top. Now press with palms and fingers until it is in a regular chapati size. Kuttu paratha should be thick then the regular paratha because if Kuttu Paratha is thin, it breaks easily.

We can first try applying oil on the rolling pin (belan) and the rolling the dough, if that does not work, plastic sheet method is the easiest one to make Kuttu Aloo ka paratha.

Heat a griddle / tawa. Sprinkle a little oil on hot tawa. Now place the rolled Kuttu dough on it. When it starts changing the color from top, flip the side. Now apply little oil on top and again flip the side. Apply oil on this side as well. Cook both the sides until brown spots start appearing.

Kuttu Aloo Paratha is ready. Serve it hot with vrat sabzi and yogurt / curd.
