Chili Mushroom Fry recipe | How to make Chili Mushroom Fry

Chili Mushroom Fry is an indo chinese dish. It is a simple and quick indo chinese dish which can be served with fried rice or boiled rice. It can also be served with Chapati and Parathas as well. Chili Mushroom Fry is prepared by shallow frying mushroom. We can also deep fry mushroom but to avoid using much oil, shallow frying mushroom is a healthy option. 

This chili mushroom fry dish can also be prepared as a semi gravy dish. To make it semi gravy, add little water and corn flour in it.

Ingredients for Chili Mushroom Fry

  • Mushroom (diced) : 2 cups
  • Garlic : 4 - 5 cloves (chopped)
  • Ginger : 1/2 inch (chopped)
  • Onion : 1 (finely chopped)
  • Green Chili : 2 (finely chopped)
  • Chili Sauce : 1 tbsp (adjust to taste)
  • Ketchup : 1 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce : 2 tsp
  • Sugar : 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil : 1 tbsp
  • How to make Chili Mushroom Fry

    Heat oil in a pan. Fry garlic in it. Add chopped onion and ginger in it. Fry till onion is light pink in color.

    Add diced mushroom in it. Fry mushroom till it starts turning slight golden in color. Add soy sauce in it. 

    Now add chopped green chili in it. Also add chili sauce in it. Add ketchup in it as well. Add sugar and salt in it now.

    Mix all the ingredients well and cook on low flames for 2 - 3 minutes. 

    Chili Mushroom Fry is ready. Serve it hot with fried rice / boiled rice or chapati / paratha.
