Methi Paratha Recipe | How to make Methi Paratha
Methi Paratha is a quick and healthy breakfast. Methi or Fenugreek is easily available in vegetable markets during winter in India. Methi is a green and added to many other vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes as well.
Methi has many health benefits and methi seeds are used in various medicines in Ayurveda. Other methi recipes are Aloo Methi, Methi Chicken, Methi Sarson ka saag, Methi Palak ka Saag, Methi Pulao and many more. Here is the complete recipe to prepare Methi Paratha.

Wash the Methi (Fenugreek) leaves. In a bowl, mix carom seeds in it.
Now add salt in it. Also add turmeric powder and red chilli powder in it. Adding and red chilli powder in methi paratha is optional. You can add green chilli instead of red chilli powder. Few people add ginger as well in it.
Add wheat flour in it. Mix well everything.
Now add oil in it and mix well. When spices and wheat flour is mixed well, add water in small quantity at a time in it to knead a smooth dough. For 1 cup wheat flour, it took less then 1/2 cup water to make smooth and soft dough.
Once dough is ready, keep aside for 10 minutes. Later, divide the dough into small balls. ! cup flour makes 5 parathas. If you want to make thick paratha, make big dough balls.
Now dust the rolling board with wheat flour. Roll dough to make paratha.
Heat a tawa / skillet and put the rolled paratha on it. Flip the side when paratha starts changing color from top. Flip once again and apply ghee / oil on both sides. Cook even from both sides till brown spots appear on it. Methi Paratha is rady, Repeat the process for rest of the dough.
Methi Paratha is ready. Serve it hot with tea or lassi.
